Prof.Dr.Beraat Özçelik:

Beraat Özçelik

Prof.Özçelik is from Food Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University. Prof.Özçelik is the Dean of Chemical and Metallurgical Faculty at Istanbul Technical University since 2013.  Her research areas are functional food chemistry and sensory analysis. Prof. Özçelik has experience both in national and international projects. Prof.Özçelik has experience in industry and has a lot of  collaboration with food industry.

Prof. Özçelik is the editorial board member of some international journals.


Prof.Dr.Tüzin Baycan:

Tüzin Baycan

Prof.Dr. Tüzin Baycan is Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at Istanbul Technical University. She is Fellow of the Academia Europaea and Panel Member of ERC Advanced Grants for Social Science and Humanities: Environment and Society and JPI Urban Europe. She is President of Turkish Regional Science Association and Council Member of Regional Science Association International (RSAI) and European Regional Science Association (ERSA). She is Editor of A/Z ITU Journal of Faculty of Architecture, Associate Editor of Asia and Pacific Journal of Regional Science and Editorial/Advisory Board Member of International Journal of Sustainable Society, Studies in Regional Science, Romanian Journal of Regional Science, Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management: Social Sciences and Economics. She is Editor of Knowledge Commercialization and Valorization in Regional Economic Development (2013) and Co-editor of Sustainable City and Creativity: Promoting Creative Urban Initiatives (2011) and Classics in Planning: Urban Planning (2008). Tüzin is the author of many scientific papers and book chapters.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Levent Kırval:

Levent Kırval

 After graduating from TED Ankara College (Turkey) in 1994, Dr. Kirval received his BSc in International Relations (High Hons) from Middle East Technical University (Ankara-Turkey) in 1998 and MSc in European Politics and Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science - Department of Government (UK) in 2000, where he attended as a British Chevening/TEV Fellow. He received his PhD in Political Science from Ghent University (Belgium) in 2005, where he attended as a Jean Monnet Fellow of the European Commission. Between 2006 and 2008, Dr. Kirval has worked as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Political Science Department & Centre for EU Studies of Ghent University (Belgium) as a Marie-Curie Fellow (FP6/Intra-European Fellowship) of the European Commission. Currently he is working in the Social Sciences Division of the Basic Sciences Department at Maritime Faculty of Istanbul Technical University and teaching courses on International Relations, International Economics, Maritime Policy and International Public Law.

Asst.Prof.Dr. Gökmen Gündoğdu:

Dr.Gündoğdu's LLM thesis was about Protection of Geographical Indications in Turkish Law. Dr. Gündoğdu has a PhD degree from Commercial Law from the University of Zurich. He is an Assistant Professor at the Yıldız Technical University in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Dr. Gündoğdu is a former Member of Executive Board of Commission of Intellectual Property Rights at Istanbul Bar Association and former Member of Center for Consumer Rights and Competition Law at Istanbul Bar Association. He was a lecturer of Vocational Training Course on “Geographical Indications” at Istanbul Bar Association and lecturer of Vocational Training Course on “Intellectual Property Rights” at Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 

Dr.Gündoğdu was a Research fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in 2012. Dr.Gündoğdu was a Scholarship holder from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in 2007.


Dr. Gail Elizabeth Evans:

Evans

Dr Evans is Reader in International Trade and Intellectual Property Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London and Visiting Professor University of Washington School of Law (2008). In addition, as a member of the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute, she is engaged in capacity building work in Eastern Europe and the Asia Pacific, providing training and consultation in the protection and commercialization of intellectual property. She has previously held academic positions in Australia and the United States. In the summer of 2006, she was a faculty member at the Duke-Geneva Institute in Transnational Law (2006) where she is taught International Intellectual Property Law. In March 2008 Dr Evans was nominated by Queen Mary students for the 2008 Drapers’ Awards for Excellence in Teaching.

Her major research interest concerns the impact of economic globalisation on the law of International trade, geographical indications and intellectual property.
